I visited Bread Lounge a couple of days ago. I came just for their chocolate croissant. Entering the bakery felt very homey and comfy and warm. It was really pleasant and quiet. The counter and display of goodies were cute. The place wasn't what I expected, but it also didn't disappoint. I liked how there is a large window and I'm able to see the bakers baking. Now for the chocolate croissant. It was soo close to being the first 9/10 chocolate croissant I've tried on this quest of mine. However, it fell short. Visiting a bakery of this quality, I would have thought to been asked and offered if I wanted my chocolate croissant warmed. I do get hung up over this just because I don't understand how one can eat a pastry cold. In addition, how could these employees and this sort of bakery not offer to heat it up...how could they want their beautiful pastries to be eaten cold. This sort of gesture is so thoughtful and appreciated. Work is going into these handmade pastries and bread, they should be eaten warmed. Aside from that, each bite of the chocolate croissant was full of life...there was a crisp crunch to each bite taken. It was delicious. Tiny flakes fell from bites I took. It was soft and airy inside but a crisp, beautiful textured exterior. Nice placement of chocolate but I wissshed it was melted. I took a plain bite of cold chocolate and got sad. Not a 9/10 but an 8/10 chocolate croissant. I would recommend and return for another. I was also so tempted to buy and try a pistachio danish. Thank you.
