Stumptown Coffee Roasters

I visited feb28. I had no expectations for my Stumptown visit. I didn't know what to expect. Just hoped for maybe the best and at least be offered for my chocolate croissant to be warmed. Unfortunately I had to try and enjoy the chocolate croissant...cold. The amount/size of chocolate was the most I've seen in a chocolate croissant and it was evenly placed. I loved it. Too bad the chocolate wasn't the least bit melted. Very cute visible circular layers on the outside of the croissant, creating a perfect window to the chocolate inside. Just by looking at the croissant I knew it was going to be airy and delicate. While it was airy with a crispy crunch texture, each bite was a bit flat literally. Each bite physically flattened the croissant. The most flat croissant I've had. There were barely little air pockets/bubbles after taking bites. A bit disappointing and interesting. I also ended up buying another Stumptown chocolate croissant to go to warm up myself at home. I've gotten tired of not being offered for these beautiful chocolate croissants to be warmed. For this chocolate croissant a 7.5/10. Thank you.
